Pliego

A concept for a ceramic atelier in Madrid that folds stoneware like fabric, and the shop that sells its single vessel. We made the brand and the site to show that a craft this slow can sell online without hurrying.

The idea
Every vessel is thrown on the wheel, folded by hand while the clay is still soft, left to rest for three weeks and fired twice at 1,280 °C. The site keeps that pace: a few words to a screen, and room around each one.
There is one product, so the shop is one page. The vessel turns in 3D under the visitor's hand, in its three finishes, Yeso, Arcilla and Olivo, with its price, its 38 cm and its six-to-eight-week wait stated before the bag.
The finishes are the palette, with one ink. The gallery shows twenty vessels in the homes that keep them, from Madrid to Copenhagen, filtered by finish.
